Last updated 2026-10-20. Corner keeps your training plan and summaries of your runs so it can put your plan on your Apple Watch and share it with the AI assistant you choose. Here’s exactly what that means.
Who we are
Corner is a training app for runners: an iPhone app, an Apple Watch delivery service and a connector for AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude. For anything about your data, email hello@corner.run.
What Corner stores
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Account | Your email address, an optional display name, and sign-in records. |
| Profile and settings | Your first name, running experience, goal (and, for a race, its distance, name, date and target time), how many runs a week you do, roughly how far, the days that suit you, distance units, easy pace and time zone. |
| Your plan | Each planned workout (date, type, title, steps, targets, coaching notes and its version); and a history of changes saying who made each one (your assistant, your watch or Apple Health). |
| Run summaries | From Apple Health, only with your permission in the iPhone app: when each run started and ended, distance, time, average pace, average and maximum heart rate, elevation gain, energy, cadence and power, per-kilometre splits, how each interval went against its target, where the run was recorded (Apple Watch, iPhone or another app), and the effort rating and notes you add. |
| Daily fitness and other workouts | From Apple Health, only with your permission in the iPhone app: each day’s resting heart rate, heart rate variability, VO2 max and time asleep, and your other workouts (their type, time, distance, energy and average heart rate). |
| Devices | For each iPhone with Corner: an install identifier, a push notification token, the app version, the iPhone model and iOS version, whether a watch is paired, whether Corner may add workouts to it, which workouts (and which versions) are in the Workout app, and why any couldn’t be added. |
| Connected assistants | Which assistants are connected (their name and an identifier) and when each last used Corner. |
| Your permissions | For each assistant you allow: when you allowed it, where (in the app or on Corner’s website), the exact wording you agreed to (kept by version), and when you stopped sharing, if you did. Kept while you have an account, as the record of your choice. |
| Reviews | The short reviews your assistant leaves on finished runs and gym sessions, with its name. |
| Notes | Notes your assistant keeps from your chats (how a run felt, a trip coming up), with the day or workout each is about and the assistant’s name. You can delete any of them in the app. |
| How the app is used | In the iPhone app: when you open it, which tabs and features you use (such as the gym logger or sharing), the steps of setting up, problems the app ran into, and the app and iOS version. Never your health values or anything you type. |
| Assistant requests | Each request your assistant makes to Corner’s tools: which tool, what it sent (such as the workouts or plan it saved), whether it worked and how long it took. For notes, reviews and profile changes, only which fields changed and how long the text was, never the words. |
| Technical logs | IP address, browser or app version and request times, kept for up to 30 days to keep the service secure and working. |
Early access
If you leave your email on corner.fitness to hear when Corner opens, we keep that address (and which form you used) only to tell you, and delete it once we have, or sooner if you ask. It isn’t linked to an account and isn’t shared.
What Corner never collects
- GPS routes or your location. Route data stays on your iPhone.
- Your conversations. Corner doesn’t see your chats with ChatGPT or Claude, only the requests your assistant makes to Corner’s tools.
- Advertising identifiers, contacts or anything else on your phone.
How it’s used
- To put your plan on your Apple Watch and show it in the app.
- To match finished runs to the workouts you planned and show how training is going.
- To let the assistants you connect read your training and change your plan.
- To keep accounts secure and fix problems.
- To see which parts of Corner are used and where assistants’ requests go wrong, so we can improve them.
Health data is used only for your training. There are no ads. We don’t sell or rent your data, share it with data brokers, or use it to train AI models.
Your AI assistant
Nothing reaches an assistant until you allow it. Corner asks once for each assistant, in the app before you connect it or on Corner’s sign-in page when you connect from the assistant, and says what it reads, what it can change and what it never gets. You choose Allow; after that, it can use Corner’s tools while you talk to it about training. If Corner comes to share more with assistants, it asks you again before sharing anything new.
- It receives only what it asks for through those tools: your profile and settings (first name, experience, goal, routine, injuries and other training you’ve told it, units, easy pace, time zone), your plan and workouts, run summaries (including heart rate, splits, effort ratings and notes), the gym sessions you log, notes kept from your chats (by it or another assistant you allow), other workouts, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep and VO2 max from Apple Health, the history of plan changes and what’s on your watch.
- Its sign-in to Corner carries your name and email address, as any sign-in does.
- It never receives your GPS routes, the raw samples behind your runs, your password or your iPhone’s identifiers.
- Changes it makes, and the reviews and notes it leaves, are saved with its name on them, so you can always see who changed what.
- Once your assistant has data from Corner, its provider handles it under its own terms and privacy policy, as a separate company: OpenAI for ChatGPT, Anthropic for Claude. Corner recognises ChatGPT and Claude by where their sign-in returns; any other assistant is shown by the name it gave itself, and your permission covers that assistant only.
- You can stop sharing at any time in Corner: Settings, Disconnect under the assistant. The assistant can’t read or change anything from its next request, and it’s signed out of Corner. You can also disconnect it in the assistant’s own settings. Your plan and runs stay in Corner either way. Stopping is for what comes next: what the assistant already read stays with its provider, under its terms.
Who processes your data
Corner uses a small number of providers to run the service. They process data only on our instructions.
| Supabase | Database, sign-in and sign-in emails. Your data is stored in London, UK. |
| Vercel | Hosts this website and the assistant connector. Requests are handled in London. |
| Apple | Apple Health and the Workout app on your own devices. Corner reads run summaries from Apple Health and writes workouts to your watch. |
Some of these providers are US companies. Where personal data is handled outside the UK, it’s protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement.
Legal basis
- Providing Corner (your account, plan and app): to perform our agreement with you.
- Early access emails: your consent, given when you leave your address. Ask us and we delete it.
- Health data (run summaries and heart rate): your explicit consent, given when you allow Apple Health access in the app and when you allow an assistant. You can withdraw it at any time in the Health app, or by disconnecting the assistant in Corner’s Settings.
- Security, logs and improving Corner (how the app is used, assistant requests): our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe, fixing problems and making it better.
How long it’s kept
Your plan and runs are kept while you have an account, so your training history stays with you. If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, and it leaves our backups within a further 30 days. Technical logs are kept for up to 30 days, assistant requests for 180 days and how the app is used for 400 days, then deleted automatically.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to send it to you in a portable format. Email hello@corner.run from the address on your account and we’ll reply within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Age
Corner is for people aged 16 and over.
Not medical advice
Corner and the assistants that use it give training suggestions, not medical advice. If you have pain, an injury or a health condition, talk to a health professional.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
